Union Pacific Rail Road inspected their newest crane to add to their MOW(Maintenance of Way) fleet recently at Badger Equipment Company in Winona, MN.
Carter Jones and Roger Rojas of Union Pacific Rail Road and Walt Drone of TPC Rail Ltd, the selling dealer, came to Badger Equipment and saw their new crane.
The 30 ton RT Crane equipped with friction drive rail gear built and installed by Badger along with their list of specs and options such as recovery winch, auxilliary hoist and winch, hydraulic tool connections and hose reel, rear view camera(s), foam filled tires are just some of the many features that make this crane special and unique to the railroads and their crews who thread rail on the many gangs situated around the country.
Walt Drone, a 40 year railroad veteran from the supply side is very happy that the railroads are picking the new Badger crane as their choice rather than rebuild an existing crane or end up going to multiple suppliers for rail gear, crane and F.R.A. compliance items. Badger does it all under one roof.
Badger's personnel on hand were T.A. Lee, general manager, Paul Marxen, sales manager, Ryan Wadewitz, engineering dept. manager, Neil O'Connor, design engineer.
Badger Equipment Company is a division of Manitex International, Inc.
