Amtrak took delivery of three(3) new Badger CD4430R cab down cranes outfitted with Badger's own hi-rail gear. These cranes will do most of their work on Amtrak's rails as a lifting crane and for maintaining their tracks as a rail threader machine. These specially painted and equipped machines come with Cummins Tier III engines, all wheel drive, all wheel steer, a sixed sided two section boom with auxiliary winch and the new 2 door roomy cab with air conditioning, rear view cameras, and full glass protection. These machines also met their specs with an extra wide stance with wider rims, wider friction rail drives and wider fenders.
Special thanks to Tony Hargreaves and Rick Vetri of North American Equipment Sales for all their hard work in getting this order!
